Whisper of the Subconscious

I find myself multiple times in my life drawing something on paper—weird shapes—and I will do it in times when I’m bored or waiting for something. When I’m writing something on paper but don’t have inspiration, I will mostly start drawing something which I can’t interpret. But drawing these weird shapes, and after looking, it will create some emotions.

After in my life, I will find Carl Jung and understand how our subconscious mind communicates with us. By auto-drawing, without the possibility to speak, our more creative part of the mind communicates with us through art.

Carl Jung: "The hands know how to solve a riddle with which the intellect has wrestled in vain."

After this revelation and others from the same subject, I decide to start drawing my subconscious ideas on paper. After doing it, I would like to point out it is a very good self-healing process, which can be considered a cousin of meditation.

This was the first painting that emerged.

There is something we still need to find out—something more powerful when we don’t have control. Something that guides us beyond the limits of this world can only be grasped without our conscious intervention.

This was the sketch drawing that inspired the painting above.
